yewberries



just for the beauty of them. (did you know you can eat them? only the red part, not the kernels, they are damn poisonous. so is all the rest of the tree.)

Beautiful! I have never seen so many of them at one place. I didnt know you could eat them and don't worry you don't have to write any comments in Niederlandisch. Deutsch or English I can also understand. :)

this has been a good yewberry year... all the trees had more berrys than usual. this one (not even a very big tree) is in a park where i pass about 350 days a year :)

aw, maybe i will at last learn nederlands properly by trying to write comments :-)

Hi Caru

I am in Christchurch, New Zealand and my yew has never been so laden with berries. Berries so plentiful that the thrush, blackbirds and starlings cannot keep up with them. Seems a coincidence that both our trees are so laden when we live in different hemispheres. I am sure such coincidences rare in nature. Strange, any one care to speculate what's going on...
